Hi, I’m Shelby — owner and photographer at Shelby’s Photos.
Photography has been more than just a passion for me — it’s a journey I’ve poured countless hours, late nights, and lots of learning into. I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with you and create memories worth hanging on your walls or sharing with the world. When you book with me, you’re not “just a client.” My goal is always to treat you like a lifelong friend.

My love for photography started when I was little. We didn’t grow up with much, but my mom had a small point-and-shoot camera — and that tiny camera changed everything. I would beg her to let me take it outside just so I could photograph the flowers, our pets, or anything I could find. Somewhere along the way, in high school, I drifted away from photography and focused on becoming a Vet Tech. But in college, something inside me sparked again. I dug through my room, found my mom’s camera, and picked it back up — and it felt like coming home.

From there, I slowly began taking photos of anything and anyone who would let me. Eventually, I bought my first DSLR so I could grow, learn the basics, and truly understand how a camera works. I practiced almost every single day, and somewhere in that season, I realized vet medicine wasn’t where my heart was — this was.

Today, I’m a part-time photographer with a full-time job, living my dream one session at a time.
